 - iTalk didn't work
I don't know if it is the equitment or my ipod but it did not work. 1. If you have an ipod touch 3rd gen DO NOT BUY! 2. Make sure it is compatible 3. Just don't buy it.

Got this and it's really not as good as the irecorder application now provided free by Apple.

This Griffin iTalk Pro- Microphone turns my iPod into a great replacement for my defunct cassette recorder/player.

It does what its supposed to do. Got it for a good price and it works effectively. The product saps up a LOT of battery power on your iPod. You will need to recharge your iPod after a two-hour lecture before the next use.
 - My favorite little piece of technology
I love to record live concerts, post them online either on [...] or a few forums for various bands. I love this recorder, i have a 30 gig ipod video and I think it is awesome for recording concerts. I also record a bunch of legislative hearings,etc. it works awesomely. the only issue is that it REALLY drains your ipod's battery, which made getting the encore of some shows a bit dicey. - you might get a longer recording time if you use the low setting vs the high setting.
totally recommend it for field recordings, or recording a local punk band and burning it on to cd or recording for myspace or facebook. I have used this all over the US, and again, totally recommend it.
